Youth Camp
A week together — the temple, service, and three days on the Colorado River. Two nights in Sanpete County cabins, then off to Moab.
Cost
$125 per youth
There is no charge for youth leaders. Parents and other adults are welcome to come too. An adult who is not a youth leader pays $220 for the river days, which is the actual cost of their seat. The youth price is lower because the ward covers part of it. There is no charge for an adult who comes for the cabins only. Please pay by check made out to the Draper Utah Meadows 5th Ward, and give it to a member of the bishopric.
Cost will never keep a youth from participating. If it would be a burden on your family, please contact Bishop Osterhout directly.
Agenda
- Morning — meet at the Carn home, load up, travel to Sanpete County
- Afternoon — settle into cabins, lunch, Mt. Pleasant Aquatic Center
- Evening — dinner, free time, fireside hike
- Morning — breakfast, Ephraim Temple visit *
- Late morning — service project at the Sanpete Food Pantry
- Afternoon — combined lunch + activities (games, crafts, hikes)
- Evening — dinner, spiritual thought
- Early — load up, drive to Moab (~3.5 hrs)
- Meet World Wide River at their warehouse (9:30 am), launch on the Colorado River
- Evening — camp, dinner, devotional
- River all day
- Evening — camp, dinner, testimony meeting
- River morning
- Afternoon — drive home, meet at the Carn home for pickup
* The temple visit is on Tuesday because the Ephraim Temple is closed Mondays.
